Cindy Hooper is a Washington, DC author who hails from Tappahannock, Virginia. Her love affair with writing began when she was just seven years old when one of her poems was published in her hometown newspaper.
She is a graduate of Morgan State University and The Johns Hopkins University, where she earned a Master’s degree in Government and Public Policy.
She is a member of the National Writers Association, the District of Columbia Romance Writers Association, the American Political Science Association, the National Women's Political Caucus, the National Congress of Black Women, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, the Romance Writers Association, the Small Publishers, Artists, and Writers Network and the Small Publishers Association of North America.
Ms Hooper is the founder of the National Organization for African-American Women (www.noaw.org) which is headquartered in Washington, DC.
